Why the checkboxes custom fields are now showing like dropdown list and then showing checkboxes

Hello anyone,

Normally, earlier the checkboxes fields are showing one by one checklist values on screens right, but now that field is showing like dropdown list and then after clicking that dropdown, the checklist values are showing. Is this a new behavior in jira or what ? Kindly let me know.

Hello! I still see this problem on our issues.
Checkbox field still has this 'dropdown' look.
I found that this was reported and classified as a bug on service desk issues. (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-1046)
Is it a BUG on a Cloud as well?
Should we report it?

above images for reference, is this current behavior or any thing we can change it to show direct checklist on screen without drop down, can any one assist?
