I am trying to make a report in Tempo about the worklog of all the employees with their log time, their description of the task, the date when the task was updated, and the customer whom they worked for. I also wanted to add the 'Description' that is provided in Jira for the issue. Somehow, I cannot find a description field in Tempo that would allow me to add the Jira description to my Tempo report. Similarly, if I generate a report from Jira and all my worklogs are updated in Tempo, I cannot add the worklog Field of Tempo into my Jira account. I want to learn how I fix these because those fields are important to generate a report for billing our services and for taxation purposes.

Hi @Biswash Lamsal

The worklog information is stored on servers own by Tempo and not in the Jira DB.

The jira description field is not accessible for Tempo reports.

Do you want to see the description a user types at the worklog when submitted or the Jira field Description.

The worklog description can be shown.

Generate a Time Tracking or Logged Time Report:
Configure the Report:

  • Group by: "Worklog"
  • Enable Overview: After grouping by worklog, enable "Overview" mode.

Once in overview mode, the worklog description will become visible as a column in the report.
