This usually happens when you do not have permission on at least one of the issues selected while bulk editing. Go back and uncheck the ones where you do not have permission.

Deleting issues will come back to bite you in the rear sooner or later. Don't do it. The forum is full of people looking for a way to restore an issue, but you can't. I use a resolution of Deleted. Because sooner or later someone will want it back because it was deleted in error.
