Why is there no indication on the app when a dashboard is unavailable?

I used the app for quick access to information that I need on JIRA.

I read online that some things like dashboards are unavailable on the JIRA app for viewability reasons or because the gadgets aren't ready for Android devices, which is fine whatever.

But why is there no indication that is what is going on? Why does the Jira App simply pretend that my dashboard doesn't exist? Even if I click a link on my phone to take me to my dashboard, it doesn't give me any kind of message or anything that the dashboard is unavailable, it just doesn't load and refreshes whatever page was already open on the app. 

This leaves me stuck in a situation where I feel like I'm going crazy because I know the dashboard exists, but it is seemingly invisible. Why not just have a pop-up or something that says, "This dashboard is best viewed on a desktop."

The message fits it well. Mobile app isn't meant for more robust work like viewing dashboards and changing workflows. You can use the app in the browser as the web app, either way, the best experience is on desktop.

I can understand that the mobile app isn't fully featured. I saw some other topics where that's a common, but oft ignored, suggestion to be prioritized on the roadmap. 

I can't understand why there's no indication at all that this is what is happening. It makes Jira look unprofessional and it makes the user feel stupid or crazy until the user realizes that it's actually just an intentional design decision by Jira to hide the fact that the app doesn't support dashboards. If the developers want to take the position that most dashboards don't work on the app and they're okay with that, just present a prompt to the user that the dashboard is unavailable for viewing on the app.
