Why is the keystore password visible in JIRA Configuration Tool?

Hi
We use JIRA on Windows. When running the JIRA Configuration Tool, in the 'Web Server' tab, there is the option to view and change the Keystore. But for some reason the Keystore Password is visible as plain text, I would expect it would be concealed like any reasonable password field.
Is that on purpose?
