Why is bulk transition changing data in my tickets?

In JSM we have a form users fill out.  We would like to do a bulk transition to move them from one status (transition) to another.  However when we do this, the data in all of the form fields, in any of the records that are checkmarked, seems to change.  Looking for any reason why that would be happening.  Thank you in advance.
