Why in Kanban Backlog view do some stories show sub-tasks differently?

Timothy Padgett May 9, 2022 edited

Some stories show sub-tasks with a carat to collapse/expand, and some show just the sub-tasks in a sort of frame?

@Timothy PadgettI think that happen because of you statuses mapping in your board configurations. When you are using a Kanban Board, you'll see in backlog view just the elements with certain status.

For example, if you've configured your bord for mapping Open status in Backlog, you will see Stories, Tasks and subtasks in that status so if you have a Story and subtasks all in Open status yo will have a collapse option but if only subtasks are Open and their paren in ahother status you won't see parent issue for collapse view

Unfortunately, for the issues in question, the parents and subtasks all have the same status.
