I have encountered twice that a comment in a Jira Software ticket generates an error during our deployment integration.
I had to delete a comment the first time, which had no special characters or a combination of characters. Second time, I deleted the dot at the end of the sentence.
This was the only way that integration was completed.
The integration is provided by Octopus rather than Atlassian. Have you tried contacting Octopus's customer support?
I checked after your response, thanks. They do have an ongoing issue.
On my side, we have deleted comments and it works.
They recommend disabling Jira Integration, we won't do so unless it stops working whenever I delete comments.
