Although I have been able to create a list of backlog items/issues, sometimes when I create a new backlog item, it shows up on the screen and disappears seconds later. This is turning into a horrendous waste of time because I've entered some issues 5 times and they keep disappearing!
I somehow can see the Issues option now, as well as Timeline, Backlog and Board.
But how do I move these issues into the backlog or into a sprint? Why aren't they in the backlog anyway, that is where I added them originally. Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you!
Hello @Brent
Welcome to the Atlassian community!
Based on the hints in your post, I believe you are working with Jira Cloud, with a Team Managed Software project. Let's confirm that.
Is your URL for Jira similar to the following?
https://<something>.atlassian.net
If so, you are working with Jira Cloud.
When you are viewing the backlog or board for your project, look at the bottom of the panel on the far left. Does it say "team-managed" there or "company-managed"?
What screen are you viewing when you create new issues?
What do you click to start the issue creation process? There is the button in the top menu bar labeled "Create". Alternately you may see +Create issue displayed below the list of issues on the Backlog screen.
What is the Type of the issue you are adding? Is it a Story, a Task, an Epic, ...?
Do you get any kind of error message?
Can you provide a screen image to show us the screens you are viewing?
Do you see an Issues option where you see Timeline, Backlog, and Board? If you click on that, do you see the issue you created?
When we have the answers to the above questions we will be better able to advise you.
Thanks very much but I resolved the problem earlier.
