For some reason one of my developers in unable to access a boar dthey have been using for over a year.
No one has changed any settings and i have removed him from 'people' and added him again, this worked for 1 day but he is now unable to access the project.
How do i get him access back?
Hi @Kate Compton and @Juan Sueiro
If you are an admin in the system, you can do this. Otherwise contact an admin to have them check.
The Permission Helper can help you figure out why a user can or can't see a certain issue.
This will provide you why a user can't see or access an issue in a project.
HI @Marc - Devoteam thanks for your help. In my case I think my issue differs from Kate, as I have browse access rights into the project and can actually see all issues if I either filter for them with JQL or go to the Issues list.
My problem is actually with Boards. It looks like a new feature was applied to Jira, as now I see this dropdown here:
and when I click on the board that we were previously using, I get

HI @Juan Sueiro
That seems the board has been removed, or the filter is changed on the board and/or the filter permissions changed.
Contact you project admin or jira admin to check this.

I'm having the same issue. Suddenly the access to Kanban board of a Jira project is not working anymore (I'm org admin and have Jira User access rights, this worked up until yesterday). My team members are also affected:
Then when trying to create a new kanban board, I get:
and the browser is popping out this error:
please help!

Can other users access it?
Check below:
1. If user have browse access to project and check the permission scheme and assign user to correct role in project Settings>People
2.If the issue is deleted same error appears
3.Check if any issue security applied.

I can access the ticket, and other devs but not Nathan (who is being affected)
1. he has the correct role (developer) same as Shaun Ashcroft who can access the issue/board
2. its not just this issue, its the whole board/every issue on this project
3. again its every issue on this project

Please check if you have any issue security level assigned to issues. You can see a lock symbol as explained in this doc.

To wjat email address is this license set?
It might that he is using a wrong email address to connect to Jira. Check if the user is not 2 in the user base list with different email addresses.

there's definitely only one Nathan set up - its weird as he is able to access other projects completely fine

What is set in the permission scheme no this specific project?
Is this different then other projects, if yes, then the issue is in the permission scheme.
Is this even based on roles or are the roles?
