Why can't I find "Part Name' field when I make a 2 dimensional filter statistics gadget on a filter?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

My guess would be that "part name" is a string field (probably short text).  These fields are not usable in the two-dimensional gadget because the range of values cannot be counted, it's not a bounded list.  It would not be of a lot of use in the gadget because it would simply have one line or column per issue, even if some of the text values were identical.

Hi @Mitchell Mariani

Two dimensional filters can use "closed" fields like single select fields. What type is your field?

In addition, once you create the custom field, did you reindex your instance and project?

Ah ok. It is a free text field.

The part name field is a free text field. Is there a workaround for free text fields?

What do you mean reindexing my instance and project?

What custom field type is the "Part Name" field? You can only use certain fields in the 2 dimensional filter gadget. The fields have to be some sort of fixed list. So Free Text fields can not be used for example.
