Why can I not set a time in the afternoon for the start of a Sprint?

Those new to the Atlassian Community have posted less than three times. Give them a warm welcome!
When I try to set what I believe is a valid time in the afternoon JIRA tells me it is not a valid time.
I see the following error messages when I try to update
'06.07.2020 14:29' is not a valid date. Please enter the date in the following format: dd.MM.yyyy hh:mm'06.07.2020 14:29' is not a valid date. Please enter the date in the following format: dd.MM.yyyy hh:mm
Based on the error message I think what I am entering is correct but it is being flagged up as incorrect. What am I missing?
I have also tried entering 2:29 pm and similar.
