When i set an issue as done in a sprint that comes after the sprint that is set as active then the issue is no longer visible. Issues which are set as done in the active sprint are however shown.

Why does this happen and is there a way to display all issues with the status done, including the ones that come after the active sprint?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

An issue is only "done" when it is in the last column of the board.  So your problem is that you are not mapping all the done status for the board into the last column (you say "not shown", which makes me think you've not mapped the status, but there may be another reason).

If you have a workflow that is broadly

Open -> in dev -> dev done -> in test -> tested

Then your test board is probably what you've done already:

  • To-do = dev done
  • In progress = in test
  • Done = tested

I think your dev board is probably

  • To do = open
  • in progress = in dev
  • Done = dev done

But what you really need to do is change the last one to

  • Done = dev done, in test, and tested
