Why are Atlassian's preinstalled plugins incompatible with version 7.2

It is surprising that Atlassian's own plugins are not compatible with the newest JIRA version 7.2.

This makes me hesitant from upgrading JIRA.

Yes, they will. My understanding is that they're generally owned by different teams who have other tasks on top of maintaining these add-ons, but new versions generally arrive very quickly.
