I have a company managed project and the view contains the Due Date and the Start Date. However, if I create a task and then add subtasks beneath it, I can click in the Due Date field and add a Due Date, but I cannot click in the Start Date field at all. I also cannot find Start Date to add to the List view. This means I have to open every subtask in the system and put in a Start Date. How can I fix this?
Hello @deseymour
Can you provide a screen image to illustrate your view, and a screen image to illustrate how you are trying to find the field to add to the view?
Are you working with a Software, Business, or Service project?
I was able to add a Start date field to the List view in my Company Managed Software project and edit the data within that view for a sub-task type issue.
I could only not find the field when it was already added to the view.
Can you also clarify what you mean by "I cannot click in the Start Date field at all"? Where are you trying to click into that field?

I've added a screenshot of a task with subtasks and I can add the field to the subtask view, but I can't click in it to update it.

Thank you for the clarification.
So you are view the parent issue, and you are referring to the table therein that shows the subtasks of the issue.
I have the same experience as you.
I found this change request documenting this behaviour and asking for a change.

Are you recognized as logged in? Do you see an avatar for you in the upper right corner?
If you are logged in you should be able to vote for the issue.

Ah...that was it. It's so silly that I can be logged in within 2 or 3 other tabs and it doesn't just automatically log me in...Oh well.
