Why am I not getting email notification from one specific user?

There is one user who, when he tags me in our instance, I do not receive email notifications. They're not in my junk email. Every other person when they tag me I get an email notification.

 

Any ideas?  Also - the person's (who's tags aren't resulting in email notifications) name shows up in JIRA as first_last@domain.com -- rather than First Last like everyone else on our site.

Hi Stephen,

 

Are you the only user facing this issue?

If the user mentions another user (not you) in the instance, do they receive notification?

Do you know how he mentions? Does he use "@" or "[^username]?

Can you please confirm if this user has "Browse users" permission?

Also, when this issue happens, are you the reporter/participant of the ticket or you are a watcher/assignee?

 

Are the comments public or internal?

 

Sorry for all the questions, but it will help us better understand the issue.
