Which fields of issues are required for a portfolio plan being created?

Maria Fürholzer

Hi all,

I am planning to use Jira Portfolio soon. I am interested in how the Portfolio-Plan is created in detail.

I know the Portfolio for JIRA plan is a forward planning tool that schedules what needs to be done according to the available resources and the issue sources.

We already use different issues (Program Epic, Epic and Story) in our projects.

Which fields (eg Fix version, Initial Estimate, Original Estimate) while creating an issue must be filled out so a plan can be calculated afterwards?

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Maria,

You can find information on preparing your planning environment in the documentation.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfolioserver/preparing-your-planning-environment-968677234.html

Additionally, you can open the page tree to navigate to various pages of the documentation to find more information on how to start using the Portfolio plan.
