We are using JIRA cloud and we used to have a release button on our Kanban board, but now it is a dropdown which is causing us issues with releasing tickets from our development environment to our QA environment. It looks like we now have to have the release version on the ticket before we can move it? Before we were able to click release and add the version.
Anybody know what changed?

Are u using JIRA Core Cloud or JIRA Software Cloud? If you using JIRA Software... you can see release button at right side of kanban board. And check your filter board out to make sure that you filter issues right.
