Where is my project?

Hi all and a happy new year.

I just created a project for a landing page on Bitbucket and I associated to a project which I created on the fly at the same name. However I cannot see my project when I go to Jira/my projects.

Can somebody help me? Don't want to create new and end up with a duplicate

Cheers

Hi stevencarredev

to answer your question or to help you we need some more information.

here are few points to answer before we can share some workarounds or answers:

1 - don't worry - you can't create more than 1 project with the same=duplicate name so if you really created it with that name is should be in your instance, otherwise you would get an error message that the name is not available.

also you need to:

2 - check in the list of projects (not my projects) if you can see the project you have created - if it's not there - may be you didn't create it at all.

3 - check what type of project you have created - team managed? company managed? usually there is a slight difference in those types of projects and as per instance permissions you may not be able to create company one or you can't see them or... what ever limitations on global permissions might be set.

4 - check what type of Jira you used when creating your project -  Jira Software, Jira Service management? Jira Atlas (you name it) this will help you find if the project is linked to the right place (in your case you said BitBucket).

With no further details we may not be able to help you as mostly we will give good guesses not a firm answer.

Hope this helps.

Hi Steven,

What do you mean by you created a project and associated it with another project that were were creating on the fly? I don't think that is possible - the first project must be created and established first.

Are you a Jira Administrator?

Hi @stevencarredev Could you check if you created under Jira Work Management instead of Jira Software?
