Hi @Ramesh Krishnan

You could add an automation rule to find this information:

Trigger: sprint started
Action: send an email to someone about who triggered the rule, {{initiator.displayName}}

Create another rule but with a different trigger Sprint completed

Hi @Ramesh Krishnan ,

This can be viewed in the Audit log (I think that pretty much everything you asked for is included).
If you filter events like:

  • Sprint created
  • Sprint started
  • Sprint closed

You should find this info.

There's also this feature request for enhancing audit logs related to sprints: JRACLOUD-95541: Enhance Audit Logs to Show Specific Sprint Modifications

Cheers,
Tobi

You’re not alone, a lot of teams want clearer visibility into who created, started, or closed a sprint. Jira doesn’t surface this info directly in the UI, but it is stored in the sprint history and can be viewed through the sprint reports or the issue activity logs. Some teams also use automation or marketplace apps to track these actions more cleanly. It’s definitely a useful feature request, and hopefully Jira makes it easier to see sprint owners at a glance in the future.
