I am updating an existing issue type to use a different workflow but when I am ready to publish the changes the number of affected issues is much higher than the amount that's returned in Jira.
When I query for all "Defect" types it is returning 2508 (not all use the workflow that I am updating) but when I am publishing the workflow it is stating 3401 Issues are affected. Is there any way to view these affected issues before publishing as I cannot find these missing issues in my instance?
Welcome to the community!
Please verify whether any of the projects currently utilizing the Defect type have the Issue security scheme enabled. If so, you may not have access to those issues, which could explain the lower count when executing the JQL.
Best regards
Sam
Hi @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_
Thank you for the welcome and the prompt response!
I have checked the security schemes and I can confirm we do not have any configured in our instance
Thanks,
Steven

Steve,
Do you have any archived projects that may be utilizing the Defect type?
