When the story moves to the next sprint, the story presents two sprints.

We would like to see only the active sprint.

Please let me know how we should do it.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

There's no way to do this.  The sprint field needs to contain all the sprints an issue has been in, so that you can get sprint reports and velocity data out.

You can search for "sprint in openSprints()" though.  Would that help?
