When performing a basic search on initiatives, why is the parent link greyed out in Basic Search

Like when a user using the basic search, can retrieve the epic link, the parent link should be available on the initiative issue type. This is not the case. Users have to use the advance query option to pull initiatives based on the parent workstream. This does not seem correct.
