When moving issues in bulk to a next gen project, how do I transfer issues to the backlog?

Deleted user June 27, 2019

I followed the KB here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/migrate-between-next-gen-and-classic-projects-957974933.html

I am migrating from a classic project to a next gen project. I get all the way to the end of the steps but there is no way for issues in my backlog to be migrated to the next gen projects backlog. How do I do that?

Hi @[deleted] - My understanding is that all issues in the classic project will end up in the backlog. From the doc you've linked:

Active sprints: Sprints in progress in your classic project won't move to your next-gen project. Issues that were in the active sprint in your classic project will be in the backlog of your next-gen project.

So all issues in both the backlog and active sprint of your classic project will end up in the backlog of you next-gen project.

Hope that helps!
