When i am trying to change the status of Jira status Mails are not receiving

Hi, 

I am trying to change the  Status of the JIRA tickets but iam nor getting /receiving the  status changed mails.

Suppose if the JIRA is in Acknowledged status and i want to change to workin progress status. Staus is showing in JIRA tool but the status mails are not receiving.

 Do i need to check with Admin user.

By default, you're not being notified of your own changes. Should you wish to receive those email notifications, you may change a preference in your profile settings: Notify me of my own changes.
