Yesterday I reordered several statuses so they would display according to our priority in the service desk queues. However, they aren't reordering per the changes I made.
Does a reindex have to occur before the new order will be used in the service desk queues?

A service desk queue displays issues based on a filter. If you edit the queue and look at the filter there, the ORDER BY ... part at the end determines the queue's initial sorting. If you haven't changed that, issues will remain sorted in queues just as they were before.
