When clicking on an issue I get navigated back to the issue I was before

For over a month now Ihave been facing this issue and I hope it was going to be fixed by Jira soon but nothing has been done yet and my team and me are really frustrated.

If I'm seeing a Story issue for example and click on a subtask to open it Jira will navigate to the subtask briefly and then navigate me back to the parent ticket. This happens constantly so I have to click again on the subtask to be navigated to it. Else I can open the link in a new tab but that's bothering too.

I tried to search for this report in bugs and here but wasn't able to find anybody else reporting this issue so here it goes.

Is anybody else seeing this bug?

Can you try another browser or incognito window?

Are there browser add-ons active, disable them or are popups blocked?

Clear your cache and cookies.

This issue seems to relate to the browser
