When a customized field is added to the issue (Bug, Epic, Feature, Story) how do we make that field a required/mandatory field. We don't find an option right now?

The issue customization is done in below workflow in JIRA

Projects--> Project Name-->Project Settings--> Issue types

Hi Manoj,

In Jira Cloud there is no way to make a field required when you change the value of another field. You can make it required on a transition or globally as a part of the field configuration as Mikael said.

Hi @Manoj Kumar MK,

Welcome to Atlassian Community.

If you want the field to always be required you do that in the field configuration that you will find when you go to Project settings > Issue types. Your other option is to only make it required on specific transitions, then you have to edit the workflow and add a validator that makes the field required. Have a look at Changing a field configuration for more information.
