When Epic Link and Parent Link fields will be completely deprecated

In this deprecation-of-the-epic-link-parent-link  Doc, it is told that for now the APIs will return both the old and new values. When will the old values be completely deprecated/removed from the APIs?

From the article itself it's not straight forward when the deprecation will take place. However, since this is kind of old news, I would suggest that if you have on your instance requests using Epic Link, Parent Link, change them to "parent".
