Whats the best way to automatically update an issue's due date?

Im working on an automation that automatically updates issues with an empty due date. Struggling with the due date adjustment. 

I know its possible to set the due date to the end of the month, but Id like the due date to either be the end of month for the start date, or the end of month for a custom field. 

Whats the best way to calculate this?
