I know there are posts from 2012-2014 like this one: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/What-s-the-maximum-number-of-subtask-s-per-issue/qaq-p/413470
But, (a) we changed a lot in JIRA during my time with Atlassian (2015-2018) and the Great Fork of server/cloud happened. Also (b) Atlassian's cloud infrastructure in 2020 is a more mature SAAS than it was in 2015 (Kudos to all that work).
With that said, I'm currently assigned to build an automation solution that *COULD* theoretically be done leveraging JIRA, but I need to know how many subtasks can theoretically be put into a single ticket.
(For those of you Atlassians who've been around awhile, what I am thinking is basically the security vulnerability automation equivalent of DJ Kanban. ;-) )
Thanks!
