Hi,
In our dev team, we want to capture all projects on Jira. When selecting the project type, I have to decide which project type to choose.
The documentation says that for company-managed projects the settings for the processes can be shared. This is not possible with the team-managed.
However, the general handling of team-managed projects is much more comfortable in my point of view.
When setting up a template for a company, i guess its recommended to use the company-managed project.
But is it possible to have the "exact" same layout and functionalities for company-managed like in the team-managed project?
There are several advantages in the team-managed layout:
To change these properties in company-based projects, the task must always be "opened" and only then can the change take place. It is not possible to change these properties in the backlog view.
Is it possible to have these features aswell in the company-based project view?
Thanks,
Michael
Hello @Michael Brunner
Welcome to the community.

The short answer is no. Atlassian developed the Company Managed project functionality first. The Team Managed project functionality is "relatively" new. Atlassian is developing it to support slightly different use cases compared to Company Managed projects, and is exploring new features at the same time. Not all the new features are currently available in Company Managed projects, and some of them may never be ported to Company Managed projects.
Thanks.
Too bad that is not possible. The team-managed project has some nice advantages in the layout.

Personally, I never use nor promote team-managed projects. At some point in time, people want to consolidate and aggregate. It is then - as a Jira Admin - that you notice that team-managed projects are "islands" without any shared configuration.
