Is making sub stories for each individual the best way? for example, sub story for Business Analyst, another sub story for developer, another sub story or quality assurance all under the one user story.
OR is there a better way?
@kamal anandpuri I think what you are asking is how to have the story assigned to a particular user/role when it is their turn to perform their duty. (Let me know if that is incorrect.)You can do this in the workflow by adding a Post function to auto-assign to a user after each transition.
For example, you want a story to be assigned to Mr. Pink in BA when it transitions from To Do to Analyze then you want it assigned to Mr. Blue, a developer, when it transitions from Analyze to Develop, and so on.
Go to the workflow for the desired project, click edit, and click on a transition. You will see a box with an option to add a Post Function.
@Jonny Adams" I think what you are asking is how to have the story assigned to a particular user/role when it is their turn to perform their duty. " --> This is absolutely correct. Can you provide more instructions on how to do this?
Thank you so much for taking time out to help me, I really appreciate it. Thank you

@Jonny AdamsThank you for the screen shots, they really help. Doing this will initiate the process of having multiple parties be assigned to the user story, so that once its turn the story will be assigned to them? Will this also work for reporting purposes? for example if BA has spent time on this story then BA would need to log there time/efforts into the story.

@kamal anandpuri If you haven't already read through documentation on workflows, I would highly recommend starting here.
To force time logging you may want to incorporate a screen to appear during each transition. See this and this.
