What happens to my stories on Pivotal Tracker after export?

I want to make sure that my stories that are hosted within Pivotal Tracker are not affected when I do an export using JIRA's import tool.

Ah, ok, the question (before it was edited) did not mention the import tool or JIRA.

The process of import has nothing to do with Pivotal other than copying the information into JIRA.  It won't change it in any way.
