What happens to existing storage used when I move back to free plan

I have a standard plan and have full product stories, sprints and bugs in JIRA. I now have to maintain this but do not have more than 3 users. So if I move to free plan, what will happen to the storge I have used in the standard plan? I have obviously used more than 2 GB and cannot afford to lose the data.

According to a previous answer, "You won’t loose data but you will loose certain functionality or have limitations on functionality." I hope this helps.
