What happened to the 'w' keyboard shortcut for watching/un-watching an issue?

Jesse Olson

Jira used to have a keyboard shortcut of 'w' for toggling an issue's personal watch setting. Around a week ago I discovered that the shortcut has been re-mapped to now open a popup "Log Time" view. Is there some way I can re-map it back to the watch status for my own account?

Hi @Jesse Olson and welcome to the Community!  I don't believe this has changed.... 'w' is for watching an issue and 'q' is for logging work.  Is it possible you accidentally clicked 'q' instead of 'w' since they're right next to each other on the keyboard?

Hmm, this is curious. I also used to see 'w' in the list of keyboard shortcuts within Jira, but I no longer do. 'q' is still listed for 'Log work', but 'q' doesn't trigger anything now that I can see and 'w' triggers 'Log work.' This is my keyboard shortcuts view now:

No idea what changed, but as of today 'w' is once again working for the 'watch' keyboard shortcut, and it's listed once again on the keyboard shortcuts screen.
