I have a question regarding load times on the 'Fix Version' field in Jira. The question:
- What would cause 'Fix Version' to load slowly in a project even with most releases archived?
The context:
We have 5 projects (that we know of) where attempting to populate the 'Fix Version' field results in wait times of at least 15 seconds and sometimes causes web pages to crash.
Our initial thought was to archive most of the Releases (hundreds) that we had in several projects. While this did help initially, we recently started noticing lag times creep back up again even after changing how we create project Releases.
Even when we archived all 'Released' releases in one of our larger projects, the 'Fix Version' field still had very high load time.
However, this is not happening in ALL projects. It's only happening in a few, however we aren't able to identify a common factor that explains it for these few projects.
Does anyone have any insight into other factors that impact loading times for 'Fix Version'?
