Hi @Jim Weaver -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Are you asking about the impacts to the team or to Jira behavior / reporting for terminating the sprint early?

For the team, I recommend discussing with the team and their coach / scrum master how they handle such occurrences.  Perhaps also review the out-of-the-box guidance from The Scrum Guide for this situation.

For Jira, the reports will just stop earlier than the expected end date, setting the "completed date" to when the sprint is closed.  With the shortened duration, some of the reporting will be impacted, such as for the burn charts and velocity report.  The issues not completed will move to either the next sprint or to the backlog, and the team will need to decide what to do with them.

Kind regards,
Bill

Thanks Bill, I was wondering about JIRA behavior, I assume this sprints velocity will skew current results until we get additional sprints under our belt.
