There is no expectation of it going away.  If anything, Atlassian are increasing the numbers and support.

I'll second Nic's comment.  Premier is not just for data center deployments.  In fact premier customers are supported for all deployment types as per Atlassian support offerings.    I don't expect that fact to change any time soon.
