Webhook not firing when using a plugin on a task?

Dirk April 1, 2024

Good day

Just want to find out, I'm using the Acceptance Criteria Plugin in my Jira Account.
I got a webhook connected to my account, when I try to add a checklist item, the webhook does not trigger an event on the issue?

Am I missing something? or does Jira webhook not support the event triggers of a plugin?

Thanks :)

Hi Dirk,

I'm with HeroCoders, the team behind Acceptance Criteria for Jira. Free

I understand that you'd expect a change in the Checklist to trigger a "issue updated" event and in consequence trigger your webhook.

I'd love to know what you're trying to build, but even without that I think I know what you need. Please try enabling the setting to "Save local Checklist items to Jira custom fields" in the app's Global Settings (Jira Settings > Apps > Acceptance Criteria section in the left panel).

This will cause custom fields to be updated whenever something changes in the checklist. This should help with triggering the webhook.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers!
