We want to configure the domain name for Jira Software.
What is the recommended way? Is it jira.domain.com or paas.domain.com/jira
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Whilst you can choose first-name, the rest of your URL is fixed if you use Cloud See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CLOUD-6999
On server/DC you can do what you want - it's all up to your network team to define URLs for access.
Hi @dingwu ,
As simple as possible.
BTW, local private deployment, short domain names are more likely to be remembered.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
This way requires modifying the Base Url -> paas.domain.com/jira
The other way does not require modification -> jira.domain.com
Which method do you recommend?

Domain redirection should not be difficult to implement.
I think there is no significant difference between the two, unless the company has a unified naming rule.
