Dear All,

We want custom chart in JIRA to filter the data based on Due date and we need it only for 20 users , we have the licence for 100 users but need custom chart for only 20 users . When We tried to buy it , JIRA says that you have to buy it for all 100 users although we really don't need it for all 100 users as its required only for leads and Managers and other basic team members don't need it.

Use case : we want to filter the data based on Due dates and assignee. Is there a way out to create this in simple charts available in JIRA as part of license and don't need extra plugin.

looking for help and advice.

Thanks

There's a lot of context missing in your question, which means we can't give you much of a useful answer.

The question we can answer is "we want to filter the data based on Due dates and assignee. Is there a way out to create this in simple charts available in JIRA"

Yes, you can.  Most charts and reports in Jira work off a filter.  A filter is a definition of a search, which gives you a list of issues to work with.  Searches work off almost all the available fields, including due date and assignee, so the answer here is a simple "yes".  Try a search for "assignee = dave and duedate > +7d" for example

We can't tell you more because you have not told us what type of report you are looking for,  either by defining it or just naming the app you've tried out.

(On a side note, yes, when you buy an app, the number of people who might actually use it is irrelevant, apps added to a system are usable by all users, so you have to licence them at the level at which the whole system is usable.  100 Jira users = 100 people who could use the app, so you need to buy for 100 people)

Dear Nic,

Thanks for the detailed reply. Yes My question was very clear. "we want to filter the data based on Due dates and assignee. Is there a way out to create this in simple charts available in JIRA"

I have to filter the data based on All Assignees with 5 projects out of all 20 projects in JIRA .

Also it was mentioned the Per user price for Custom Charts. If it has to be applied for all users then mentioning Per user price is not worth.

Anyways, I am looking for a solution to display the data in Dashboard based on Assignee and Due date through simple charts also If it can remove the ZEROS.

Hope this clears my query.

looking for your kind support.

Thanks

Ok, so my clarification matches and what you need to be doing is using a filter to select the issues you want to report on.

All apps for Atlassian products have to be licenced  to match the number of users you have, as all of them could use it.

Dashboards have all sorts of gadgets (most of which report off saved filters (where you do the filtering by due date).  I don't understand what you want to "remove zeroes" from, you haven't said where they are appearing.
