We are unable to upgrade jira software version from 7.13.0 to 8.13.26

We are following this documentation ( https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracore/upgrading-jira-data-center-from-7-x-to-8-13-1018788814.html) to upgrade our jira instance on version 7 to version 8, but our instance says license is invalid. It does not let enter any new license key and proceed

I would guess that the problem is that your licence has expired.

You can only upgrade to versions released before the end of your current licence.  If you want to upgrade to a later version, you will need to renew your old licence.

Hey @Raviprajna Sreekant ,

Your screenshots are linking to a Slack workspace.

Care to re-add them as embedded pictures here?

@Dirk Ronsmans I have updated question with pictures. If you have  steps/procedure/documentation to upgrade from V7 to V8 then to V9 please share them

So the 2nd screenshot clarifies it. Like @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- mentions, you're license has expired. If you still have an active maintenance contract you can go to https://my.atlassian.com and get your new/active license.

With your current license you are only entitled to the versions under when the license was active. (before 21/01/2020)

Going by that date you could upgrade to 8.6.1 but nothing beyond that without a proper license (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1213607/jira-software/version-history)
