Depends how you're doing it - are you just exporting/importing? Or are you using a specific tool or app for this?

It's certainly possible to move Projects with no data loss - I've seen it done with versions much further apart than these two. But you still need to ensure you test the migrations prior to making the move - taking into account things like...

• Variances between user names
• Active vs Inactive users
• Configuration duplication - eg. custom fields, which could cause issues on the destination instance if there's filters, dashboards, etc using a field's name
• Field Contexts - which could impact the destination instance's configuration
• Apps (including their versions)
• ...etc

I'd recommend creating a checklist and/or tests to ensure data is moving like-for-like, or at least to the standard required for your team.
