We are having issues on Jira server incoming emails

Hi, We currently have an issues with incoming emails at the moment. Until yesterday it was working fine and suddenly the server i asking the certificate with the below error.

Unfortunately no connection was possible. Review the errors below and rectify:

• SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

I dont remember having this cert installed in java key store and not sure why this suddenly saying like this. We have same config in UAT and there it works fine. Please let me know.

Thanks @Marc - Devoteam for the reply. As far I remember I never installed mail certificates in prod or uat, and with the same configuration my UAT server works fine. I have checked everywhere and there are no certificates in UAT server. This is where it gets me more confusing when UAT works where PRIOD did not work.

Hi @Naveen 

Still talk to your mail server admins and or network admins. Any changes made there in relation systems related to this error should be from that end.

The error implies that Atlassian server can't connect to your mail server do to certificate related issues.

If nothing changed on you server, it can only be at the mail server or network

This means your Jira has not got the certificates needed to connect to your mail server or expired certificates

You'll need to talk to your mail server admins about getting a valid certificate to allow access.
