Want to set up "Sub-Tasks" as a "Field" in Issue Type "Story"

Pretty much that simple - so my engineers can assign Hours for the "estimates" field for the Sub-Tasks and I can assign "Story Points" (one of Jira's 20 Custom Fields) to Stories that I Burndown thru the Sprint and the Release.

Would want a parent-child relationship so I can have multiple sub-Tasks per Story.

Sub-tasks are not fields, they're sub-tasks.  JIRA automatically shows them on parent issues though, so all you have to do is add one to an issue and you'll be able to see it on the parent.
