WBS Gantt-Chart for Jira Server Percent Calculations Incorrect

Ashley Border August 20, 2020

I have a Version with several Epics and within each Epic there may/may not be Stories. The % complete for the Epics are 0% which in turn shows 0% for the Version. However, when I change the status of one Epic to "In Dev", the Version is showing 14% complete. I understand it's because there seems to be some work happening. What I can't figure out is when I turn the status of the Epic back to "To Do", the Version still shows as 14% complete. Why?

I'll also mention we are using the Server version of JIRA and it is integrated with Aha._SIAB-1854__HST06BD_Summit_American_History_Before_1865_FL___D-HST-06BDE1-K___Digital_First_Edition_-_K12_PD_JIRA.png WBS_Gantt-Chart_9_12_0_1__-_K12_PD_JIRA.png

Dear Ashley,

According to your second screenshot, Epic "HST06BD..." has marked with strikethrough after changing to "To Do".
If the resolution field of Epic "HST06BD..." is empty and strikethrough is removed, I assume that the percent done of version is to be 0%.

If you can't resolve this problem, it'd be better to open the support ticket to https://ricksoft-support.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/3.

Thank you @Hanna that makes sense. Do you happen to know how to resolve the following related to this issue?

We are using the system Resolution field on the Epic issue type and when you edit an Epic, the Resolution field goes from being empty (Unresolved) to being set to "Unresolved". Thus the strikethrough after changing it back to "To Do". Is there any way to allow the "clearing" or emptying of the Resolution field?
