May 23, 2022

Hi,

based on the explanation on the Atlassian website, the predicted end date in a version report is calculated based on the estimated work still to be done in the version and the average velocity of the team. So: current date + (sum of estimated workload/average velocity). In an example case we have, this means:

  • current date: May 23rd
  • sum of estimated remaining workload: 8w 3d 7h = 351h
  • average velocity: 1w 1d 4h = 52h
  • so in total this means we would need 6,75 weeks to complete the version.

Adding that up to today (May 23rd) would mean somewhere mid August.

The version report is predicting Oct 7th 2022.

Version report_expected end date.pngCan somebody help us on this?

Thanks,

Hans
