Verify Domain

Derek Tsang October 6, 2025

I have been trying to verify the Domain using the DNS method.  I added the TXT record to my domain host's DNS settings over a week ago.  I am still getting the following message when I tried to verify it.

We’re unable to verify your DNS record

Updates to your DNS can take up to 72 hours. Try again later.
Does it usually take more than 72 hours?  What steps did I miss?

Hi Derek - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If you have followed all of the steps exactly, I would suggest you open a support ticket with Atlassian to find out the exact problem.

We are on a standard plan and I am the org admin and billing contact.  How come I can't submit a support ticket?

Just click on the link above. If you are on a Standard plan, support comes with that. If it is giving you an error or message, what is that message?

I can only see the AI chat.

What's in the dropdown under What can we help with?

Derek Tsang October 7, 2025

There are different topics that you can pick.  However, it will all take you to the chatbot.  There is no option for submitting a ticket.

Just keep working through it, it will eventually allow you to submit. Just tell it NO it didn't help.
