Velocity within Dashboard and or Gadget?

Quick question: is there a way to have Velocity within Dashboard and or Gadget?

currently cant only find Sprint Burndown?.

The app comes with few dashboard gadgets to track team member's / team's velocity / productivity based on story points / time spent / issue count in a sprint  and also track sprint status with multiple parameters.

No, unfortunately, there is no native gadget for that.

You can use the gadget I developed - Multi-team Metrics & Retrospective. It has much more than just Velocity Report:

• Track any custom metric constructed using JQL across any periods - sprints, months, quarters, half-years or years for multiple teams in a single view.
• Conduct in-place retrospectives.
• Compare metrics between teams or periods Identify, quantify, and prioritize reasons behind mediocre performance, and easily justify budget allocation for improvements
• View dynamics between the current and previous periods.
• View % of a metric relative to Initial or Final Scope. Average of metrics for the selected periods and much more.

Unfortunately, Jira does not provide such a chart as an OOTB functionality in the standard dashboards. If you are looking for a dashboard where you can add the velocity chart and other gadgets, you would need to find a marketplace solution. If you are open to that, I recommend Mindpro Insights. I work at Mindpro, and I believe the app can help you with this.

It creates easy-to-use dashboards from scratch or templates; any user can do it. The dashboards are dynamic, which means that when you click on a chart segment, the entire dashboard adapts to your filter. There is a Scrum template where you can see a velocity chart, but you can add this gadget to any dashboard you create:

There are over 50 gadgets you can choose from, and the dashboards can be shared internally or with customers via the Customer Portal.

Hi @Sian Snook,

Unfortunately, Jira does not provide a velocity gadget. You can eventually use the Velocity report instead, available in your reports section of the project board.

If you prefer a dashboard gadget, then you should search on Atlassian Marketplace for an app (plugin) that provides such gadget.

In case you want to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Team Velocity gadget that offers advanced metrics, is highly configurable, supports any type of estimates and allows you to to include the sub-tasks in the calculation.

We do not have an out-of-the-box functionality yet to add Velocity as a gadget in Jira dashboard and here is the Feature Request that has maximum visibility :- https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-90480
